Cinematography

Here are some samples of my camera and lighting work. I have shot on Arriflex, Canon SLR, Panasonic, Sony, GoPro, drone and mobile devices, high in the mountains of Montana, sync sound in a barley field on a three-camera shoot powered with a quiet generator, music videos in Portland, San Francisco, and San Diego, green screen VPs at Oracle Studios in Redwood Shores. Camera work is one of my great loves!

I contributed 20 miles of GoPro footage to this film, while running the race!

Here's a multi-camera Yoga DVD we shot in Montana one summer. I was shooting the Canon 5D on a dollyed jib. We had another camera on a dolly track and a third for static closeups. I shot the intro B-roll as well.

This was the first of a series we shot in the studios at Oracle campus in Redwood Shores in May 2014. I shot the campus exterior time-lapse sunrise intro using a Canon intervalometer, fine-tuned lighting design and shot the A-roll. I also shot the B-roll with a Sony Mirrorless camera in the business district of San Fransisco. At the time, I was editing all of the spotlight videos for all product families.

In 2006, I was Director of Photography on the World War II film, War Between Angels. I shot it on 16mm film using an Arriflex SR3. The footage was then transferred to High Definition video for post-production work. The glass on this camera was immense and beautiful.

Here's a social video I shot on my Canon 5D and a clip-on sennheiser lavalier mic for synched audio. My friend Angela is a Transformational Coach, Intuitive Living Expert, and Spiritual Teacher. I produced this video end-to-end, though we did buy a stock music track.

Here's a two-camera video I shot with a friend on Canon 5D's at a local robotics tournament. My friend Colin McWilliams composed the catchy 8-bit soundtrack songs which was a blast for me to cut in Final Cut Pro.

I shot this video on my Canon 5D. This organization is near and dear to my heart. It was a pleasure to have a chance to work with everyone on this project!
