I enjoyed five years with a design team developing LMS-based curriculum and multimedia training content. We created eight courses to help community drinking water operators prevent waterborne illness. Thousands of operators accessed the programs online or by attending hands-on workshops. Over 100,000 training programs were distributed throughout the US and US territories. Most of the programs contained interactive certification exams as part of the programs. By working with each state, I was successful at securing continuing education credits for those completing our courses in 26 states.

Here are some training products I've helped write, design, develop and shoot:
Here is an overview of the suite of certification training products that our EPA Drinking Water Training team produced between 2005 and 2008. It shows the animations, videos, quizzes and interactive training activities that we designed for national audiences. We featured this video on our website, and in trade show displays across the country.
I provided technical script editing, voice-over recording engineer and talent coach, collaboration with the design team, and Final Cut Pro editing on this animated training from 2007.
"Ken is a highly proficient communicator. His considerable experience with SaaS software, cloud computing, video production, and social media, keeps him on the cutting edge of the technology and trends that are best suited for technical training. Ken’s technical writing and online documentation of Oracle RightNow Social Media products is great. He has become an engaging voice over talent here at Oracle. His online Camtasia training tutorials for Oracle applications demonstrate a powerful professional use of digital media."

This is a training I produced for the Oracle Documentation team in 2017 to update them on new functionality and keyboard shortcuts in Camtasia 9.
I collaborated with our internal Oracle client on the final script, captured screen navigation, recorded and delivered the voice-over, and collaborated with designers to produce this training video.
Ken updated the website, communicated with certification offices to credential our products, and scripted the Microbial Risk Assessment tutorial to demonstrate how to use a very complicated spreadsheet-based tool. Ken has the ability to write for a wide range of technical audiences, from the novice to the technically savvy.

On the Board Training project, I traveled to several water boards throughout the state to interview members about various aspects of board operation, capture meeting video and photos. I also acted as written content editor throughout the course and in the PDF. Please click the image above to access the course PDF.
I served as technical script editor, voice-over recording engineer for the three water system videos, and edited all presentations in Final Cut Pro to produce this training DVD. I am working on a way to show it here soon.
